Job Description:
Software engineer working as part of a dedicated product team (agile), working closely with other software engineers in a collaborative (paired programming) manner, along with key product team members like product anchor, product manager and product owner. The candidate will be delivering working software and product features from a prioritised backlog which is organised into two-week sprints.
Software development will focus on quality of delivery of data manipulation and report generation through batch jobs. The product, built upon Java microservices, focuses on finance renewal lead generation for the company and external partners.
Skills Required:
Java
Spring Batch
MS SQL Server
Agile development
Skills Preferred:
Version control systems (Git/GitHub) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins)
Data Warehousing (Teradata).
API Design and Development
Testing
Microservices
Experience Required:
Agile/PDO software delivery from prioritised backlog
Paired programming.
Software Craftsmanship (Techniques & Best Practises).
Experience Preferred:
Working with data warehousing solutions (e.g. Teradata)
Database architecture experience.
Education Required:
2.2 Degree or equivalent
Education Preferred:
First Class Degree or equivalent
