Job Description : Azure CHIE’s (Cloud Hardware Infrastructure Engineering) Platform Firmware Engineering team is responsible for development, deployment and of Server and Rack Infrastructure firmware that manages Microsoft’s Data-Center / cloud hardware. We work closely with Microsoft product groups, industry partners and researchers to architect and develop server hardware solutions that meet the requirements for our cloud services platforms at the lowest possible cost of ownership (TCO).
We are seeking a highly motivated Firmware Deployment Engineer with a solid background in large-scale Deployment and related Services development.
Responsibilities
In Azure CHIE Firmware team, you will
design and develop a high scalable cloud service that integrate with Microsoft internal and external existing services
Create a payload, deploy and monitor the deployment.
You will manage individual projects priorities, deadlines, and deliverables;
Propose future plans and innovations, work with peer firmware engineers, partner teams and program managers from all over the world.
Work effectively in an Agile environment following and practicing Scrum processes
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
Bachelors required in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or related field.
3+ years of hands on coding experience required (C/C++/C# code development, debug, and test )
3+ years of experience in scripting and automation in Python or Powershell.
Sound track-record of shipping products and having been through at least one development cycle
Self-motivated individual; must be able work independently as well as collaboratively in a cross-geo team environment and working with different set of stake-holders.
Preferred qualifications:
3+ years’ experience with design and develop cloud services (preferably on Azure), monitoring and live site.
Web API services infrastructure (RESTful API, Swagger), Microservices
Working knowledge in firmware development, CPLD/TPM or UEFI stack.
Familiarity with GIT, source depot, SQL, XML creation and parsing or Azure services like Kusto, Event Hubs.
High tolerance to ambiguity and ability make progress when situations are in flux.
