Do work that matters:
Digital Operations and Technology (DOT) is a centre of excellence within the Retail Banking Digital space and plays an integral part in the purpose and success of CommBank. We are responsible for delivering an exceptional customer experience across all digital touch points.
Within DOT, you’ll be part of our Insurance Distribution team responsible for building sophisticated green-field customer journeys for our array of life, income, health, and superannuation products. Your skills in front-end development will help us deliver intuitive, best-practice designs, and you’ll be working closely with our architects and vendors to securely integrate with downstream systems.
As a Software Engineer, you’ll be consulted on product and feature designs and be key to their quality implementation and delivery. You will have opportunities to stretch yourself in front end engineering, API development, and systems integration. Also, you’ll be invited to build your expertise and create networking opportunities by participating in our regular engineering guilds.
We’re interested in hearing from people who have:
Demonstrated experience developing applications using Microsoft technologies such as C#, Asp.Net and .Net Core
Expertise with modern JavaScript frameworks (Angular or React)
Understanding of microservices architecture and restful API design patterns
Knowledge of how to apply best-practice security techniques to web applications and APIs
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with containerisation and public cloud engineering (AWS or Azure)
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Oracle, and NoSql DBs
Troubleshooting complex technical issues involving multiple system components
