Job Description : You might have ordered food via an app like Uber Eats or an at-table ordering app such as me&u, collected loyalty points at your favourite restaurant or booked a table to enjoy a night out. Tyro Connect ensures that the chef receives your order, you will earn loyalty points, and your table will be ready for you when you arrive.To do so, Tyro Connect connects apps (like Uber Eats, me&u and many more) with merchants’ Point of Sale (POS). Additionally, we give merchants the tools to manage all their integrations in one place.To join our graduate program, Tyro Connect seeks pragmatic go-getters who find creative ways to solve problems as front-end, back-end and full-stack software engineers.What you will doGain an understanding of leading technical product development, including the Lean-Startup product development conceptsAcquire experience of collaborative, iterative software development, including Extreme Programming and Agile-SCRUM methodologyWork with external POS and App partners and help them integrateGet to know the needs of our customers during a two-week secondment working with our customer and partner support teamObtain exposure to emerging technology patterns and frameworks, including:Cloud service design and infrastructure (Amazon AWS)RESTful JSON application interfaces and integrationAPI designContinuous integration and automated test frameworksHigh-velocity & scalable server design via Javascript (Node.js)Data modelling and Data warehousingWebsite development via ReactAbout youPursuing a degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related heldExperience programming; exposure to Javascript languages preferredStrong technical prowess, including an understanding of algorithms, systems architecture and end-user experienceAbility to work in a fast-paced changing environment and deliver high quality work productAbility to work well in a team establishing good working relationships with peersIf you’re pragmatic, a go-getter and a creative problem solver, you’ll succeed in this role.Must have the right to work in Australia or be eligible for a working visa (subclass 462 or similar)We want to work in the company of supportive and inclusive people.
