Job Description : Automated Frontend Tester
Position summary
The IHS Markit Price Viewer product is seeking an automated tester to work within its global multi-disciplined agile development team.
The successful applicant will have proven ability to develop, maintain and run an automated test harness that proves the functional and nonfunctional operation of; Web applications, APIs and an in house developed Excel add in.
The role will require a strong team player who is able to partner with, Product Management, Developers and Testers. Ensuring that new and existing functionality is released to production safely and without performance degradation.
Core responsibilities:Developing automated test cases from new business requirementsOwning and maintaining an automated regression test harness that is available to the wider team and executed within CI/CD
. Creation of performance testing
. Production of test reports
Education and experience:A good standard of English, both spoken and writtenBachelor’s degree in computer scienceAt least 4 years of professional experience in functional and non-functional automated testing against Web applications, APIs and Excel.
. Languages Java, Maven, VBAAutomation tools such as Selenium, Cypres, Web Driver, Rest Assured
. Knowledge of unit testing, ideally with JUnit
. Performance testing JMeter or LocustKnowledge of SQL and or MongoDB/No SQLVersion control CI/CD : Git, GitLab
. A solid understating of test techniques
