Job Title: Senior QA Engineer
Year of experience: 5-8 Years
Location: Mumbai (Preferred)
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Identify testing strategy for EdCast Marketplace across various platforms with documented requirements.
Write and maintain clear, concise and comprehensive test cases and with detailed test execution steps in a test tracking tool.
Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
Design, create and execute concurrency and regression test suites for new projects as well as existing systems.
Maintain detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test documentations like test plans, environment setup doc, feature parity doc, onboarding documents, feature demo presentations etc.
Identify and track bugs and record and document them thoroughly.
Peer review bugs reported by team members and guide teammates to follow best practices.
Perform manual and exploratory testing as needed.
Contribute in the Automation Plan/Strategy/Execution for the projects using Java Selenium or any other automation tools/technologies.
Support team members and ensure established goals and deadlines are met.
Be result oriented, willing to take responsibility and accept accountability for action.
Ability to work on multiple initiatives.
Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
Comfortable with ambiguity as needs change on a regular basis with a high degree of initiative and sense of urgency.
Basic Profile requirements:
Educational : Bachelor’s degree and above in Comp Sc / IT
5-8 years software QA experience.
Required Skills and experience:
5+ years demonstrated experience designing test cases and execution strategies
2+ years experience with test web browser extensions, apps and widgets is preferred
1+ years hands-on experience writing test automation scripts in Java with Selenium and/or experience in Low/No code Test automation tools like TestRigor, Rain Forest etc is a must .
Should have excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with senior management, technical subject matter experts, and business customers.
Hands-on experience with both white box and black box testing.
Hands-on experience in Backend API Testing and Front-end UI Testing.
Experience in testing web apps hosted cross platform on multi/cross browsers.
Familiarity with test engineering tools such as JIRA, Postman, GIT, Testrail, Asana and SQL
An understanding of software development/testing life cycle methodologies.
Knowledge of SQL query language and scripting
Other Preferences:
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process is a plus.
Knowledge of CI/CD tools to integrate the Automation scripts like Jenkins.
