Job Description
Visa Corporate IT (CIT) group has embarked on a major transformation journey. We are transforming ourselves into a true engineering organization where we put customer experience and end user support first. As part of this strategy, we are consolidating several of our Operational functions into a single area focused on providing world-class operational support to our End users. Visa’s Engineering, Applications and Analytics team is looking for curious, creative, and technology experts to join our growing team. We focus on delivering and supporting integrated platforms that enables Visa’s financial applications, which are used by Visa business partners to service Visa clients globally.
The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Applications team provides customer service, including end user support, issue troubleshooting and resolution, system access, application administration, and development work for the FP&A application analytics and reporting needs. The team works with Financial Systems Strategy (FSS), Project Management Office (PMO) and FP&A closely to gather requirements, provide feedback, and ensure the successful and timely delivery of projects and enhancements.
Responsibilities:
Participate in the maintenance and support of the TM1 environment, including diagnosing, troubleshooting, and initiating corrective actions; develop solutions to system technical issues and systems process issues; develop automated solutions to minimize administration and support effort; provide scheduling and support for technical issues and required environment updates; develop automated solutions to minimize administration and support effort
Act in the capacity of application and user support for the TM1 users on a timely and effective basis, perform root-cause analysis, and propose application technical and process updates to permanently resolve issues
Participate in and provide leadership for TM1 application performance testing and tuning
Exercise leadership with peers and with business partners, in identifying issues, determining options, clearly enumerating benefits and risks, and leading the effort to drive to optimal solutions for IT, business partners and Visa as a whole
Provide solutions that include analysis of industry best practices, as well as leveraging relevant personal experience
Collaboratively elicit requirements using interviews, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, analysis of the business, existing documentation, task and workflow analysis, and other solicitation techniques to analyze business needs
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, distinguish user requests from the underlying true business needs
Identify derived requirements that are a logical consequence of the customer’s requests, and search for those implicit requirements that the business may expect but hasn’t verbalized
Manage the prioritization of requirements against business needs and technology imperatives
Support the creation of architecture and design documentation, facilitating business involvement, updating the requirements documentation, and ensuring requirements traceability
Work with project managers, application architects, and others to develop estimates and plans for requirements phase activities
Define unit and integration testing plans, testing scripts, enhancements, custom modifications, and interfaces to be developed
Lead efforts to provide, or require responsible parties to provide, root cause analysis for any systems or process issue; ensure remediation plans are devised, discussed and agreed up that result in permanent resolution of issues
Conduct research to determine whether solutions to business/technical requirements currently exist within or outside the business unit, and if not, whether new solutions are feasible
Review and provide constructive and objective feedback on the requirement deliverables of peers
Responsible for understanding requirements, coming up with architecture, design, involved in development, deployment, and on-going enhancements.
Design and develop mission-critical systems, delivering high-availability and performance.
Participate in code reviews, setting up best practices for coding and development.
Create technical documentation for all new or modified processes.
Support DevOps in deployment and troubleshooting production issues.

Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or other technology fieldRequires strong and demonstrated understanding of application architecture and technology infrastructure typically found in IBM Planning Analytics (aka TM1) environmentsRequires a minimum of 8-10 years progressively responsible experience in TM1 application administration, development, and supportRequires a minimum of 2 years progressively responsible experience in TM1 and/or Cognos BI application administration, development and support, preferably including a minimum of 1 year of experience with the latest IBM Planning Analytics (aka TM1) productStrong Understanding of TM1 – TM1 10.2.x min/Planning analyticsStrong TM1 Development/Architect/Operations experience is required with at least 2 E2E implementation of TM1 projectsAdvanced TI process authoringAdvanced skills in writing Rules and applying feeders as required.Strong in creating Active Forms and ability to improve performance of PAX reports.Complex calculation modeling (could be anything e.g., driver based allocation or product/metric based revenue planning)Requires demonstrated experience in automating processes and jobs on an end-to-end basis. Experience with shell scripting, Windows batch scripting, SQL, and MAXL strongly preferredPipelines using Spark, HDFS, Hive & MapReduce.Expertise on database concepts and SQL.Strong knowledge of systems architecture, data structures and design patterns.Hands-on experience with Unix & Scripting.Result oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
