Job Description : Tasks

Participation in the cross-functional supplier selection and sourcing process;
Plan, initiate and control preventive orientated, advanced quality management measures in the design / development phase (supplier APQP) for medium to high complexity supplied parts and services (Feasibility Commitment, Project Reviews, Safe Launch Concept, Quality Control Plan etc.), to ensure that our products meet the defined quality requirements;
Lead Supplier APQP with affected Internal & External Stakeholders
Lead and drive supplier improvement programs;
Organize and lead management meetings on supplier side.
Evaluate 8D reports and discuss the results with supplier;
Drive root cause analysis and implementation of the counter measurements at the supplier;
Support of the data system to collect and evaluate supplier quality related key process indicators (KPIs) and issue of periodical quality performance reports in order to take care for appropriate improvement actions being initiated
Problem solving;
Project management skills;
Work with Continental quality internal tools such as Supply On, Wise CLMS, SAP, Global PCN/PTN
Work in international and multidisciplinary teams.
Fastener Centralization Program Responsible Worldwide; Primary Contact to the Business Units
Conducting Risk Assessment (Rik Based Thinking) & driving actions to reduce Identified Risk;
Performing PPAP Audits inline with AIAG Requirements to release components;
Create Supplier Development/Improvement Concept for problematic strategic suppliers;
Responsible for Supplier Release as per requirements of VDA 6.3;
Define Safe Launch Concept & support Location SQM with the Execution of SLC;
Promoting FCP across the Organization with a major emphasis on Re-usability
Monthly Reporting to the Management on KPI’s related to the FCP Program

Qualifications

University Degree in Mechanical Engineering or comparable field with minimum 7 to 10 years’ experience in automotive industry
Microsoft Office demonstrated skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Business fluent in written and spoken English language skills desirable
Self-reliant working style, ability to work under pressure, willingness to take responsibility, analytical thinking
Willingness to travel
AIAG Core Tools | VDA 6.3 | IATF 16949 | Basics of Project Management
Ability to demonstrate Multi-Cultural Sensitivity
Ownership, Drive, Communication
