Job Description : SW Engineer – GPU – ( 21000ABO )
Responsibilities:
Embedded system software design and development in C/C++ in accordance with given specifications

Documentation of design and implementation & reporting of software testing executed

Development of support infrastructure & software tools to aid development process

Interaction with other development and test teams

Unit test design, development and execution of software modules

Report on development activities to Software Project Lead or Manager as appropriate

Technical customer communication as required

General software & product design reviews and problem resolution

Complete scheduled tasks within assigned projects to deliver Software Development output to the project

team as per agreed timing plan

Contribute to routine Software Design Reviews, Peer Code Reviews and Software Acceptance Test

activities on a regular basis

Comply with Software Quality processes, ISO15504 and software development processes within Valeo

Contribute to the definition of the Software Development requirements and deliverables

Participate in Technology/Supplier/Tool selection and evaluation for new developments

Support Product Marketing and Business Development activities as required
Requirements:

Graduate in Electronic, computer or Software Engineering

Post graduate qualification desirable

Expert knowledge of Digital Signal Processing/Image Processing/Video Processing

Excellent problem solving skills

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Good team player and ability to adapt to varying tasks on a weekly basis

Confident, self-motivated, determined, energetic with high level of initiative and creativity
Essential Experience – Video/Graphics Processing Engineer

3+ years Video processing experience on an embedded processor

2D and 3D image rendering, texture mapping, perspective correction, shader programming

Graphics and/or computational programming on GPUs using OpenGL

Expert knowledge of OpenGL ES 2.0 or 3.0

Experience with OpenCL and/or Cuda Programming

Extensive Embedded Software experience using C/C++

Good Knowledge of OpenCV

Thorough knowledge of CPU/GPU Architecture

Highly Desirable Experience

6+ years working with embedded DSP software including Texas Instruments DSP and ARM processors

Multi-core System Software development experience

Object Orientated Design and Design Patterns experience, Model based design, UML modelling

Experience of Software Quality processes such as SPICE

Experience with version control and change control tools

Mindset of Continuous Improvement

Good knowledge of the software development tools specifically automation and scripting tools

Experience with Ethernet protocol desirable, TCPIP, RPC, GPB

Experience with Advanced Video Processing, Video Encoding/Decoding, Video Compression MJPEG,

MPEG4 and H.264

Excellent knowledge of embedded system operating systems, RTOS, Linux, SysBios, GHD Integrity

DirectX/ Game Programming/ augmented reality development
