What you’ll do?
Handling escalations from internal teams as well as customers and making outbound calls in case of necessity.
Handling cases escalated from the team & escalating complex system-wide issues or bugs to the sysads/engineering team
Training and mentoring the new joiners in the team as well as the existing team
Handling Incident management & making sure the public forum is updated for the incidents in a timely manner
Managing the floor & making sure that the work is running smoothly
Identify flaws in the existing process/product & suggest ways to rectify
Ensure the smooth working of managed services (Hardening process, Handling alerts via zabbix)
Working on quality evaluations of cases/chat done by the team & ensuring that quality of daily work is maintained
Any Adhoc tasks/projects that come up as part of OKRs
Handling customer chats in case of necessity.
Ensuring speedy resolution of customer issues while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
Identify recurring issues and build automated solutions
Who you are?
3-4 years of experience.
Graduate, preferably in Information Technology or Computer Science.
Should have a good understanding of:
1) Linux:
WebHosting: Deep knowledge of web hosting working tools like apache, database, nginx, mailservers, dns , Load balancing concepts, etc.
Linux Basics: Deep understanding of user management, disk partitions, permissions etc, grub, fstab. Should also have knowledge on server hardening, security, Handling alerts for servers.
Troubleshooting : Understanding of commands like netstat,lsof, strace,ps/top/atop/dstat, grub boot config & systems rescue,fstab/disk labels, ext3/ext4, IPtables,sysstat (sar/vmstat/iostat etc), run-levels & startupscripts
Automation & scripting: Basic understanding of any Shell/Bash/python script. good knowledge of sed/awk/grep/egrep,VI/VIM etc
2) Windows:
Web Hosting: Understanding of Plesk control panel, IIS, MailEnable etc
Windows Basics: Windows 2000/2003/2008.
Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot system/application faults using Event logs, IIS Fundamentals.
3) Cloud: Basic understanding of gcp, kubernetes, docker
Should have:
Good communication & c0ordination skill
Customer focus & willingness to help
Good learner.
