Job Description : Axcis are looking to appoint a teaching assistant for a role in a St Helens based secondary school.
The school is a large, secondary school in the St Helens area and has over 1000 pupils on roll. The school caters for pupils across KS3 / 4 and many of the students attending this school have additional needs or display challenging behaviours. The school are looking to appoint a teaching assistant, to work across all age groups but specifically supporting students who require extra support or display difficult behaviours. The school are looking for a full time teaching assistant to work with students on a 1:1 basis and candidates applying for this role should have some education experience.
The role, will require you to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with students who have additional needs or challenging behaviours. The role is full time and school hours are 830am – 330pm Monday – Friday. The role will start as soon as possible on a long term basis and candidates applying for this role should be confident, compassionate and hard working.
Candidates applying for this role must have some childcare experience, ideally education experience. Candidates should be available full time and be seeking a long term role in a forward thinking, large, secondary school. Candidates must be hard working and flexible whilst also being able to build positive relationships with students. Pay for this role starts at £12 per hour.
