General Summary
The Technical Account Manager (TAM) for Telematics CE is an engineering role coordinating all aspects of technical support assigned to the program and is the primary communication person with customers for technical topics. The TAM closely tracks and understands customers’ technical requirements/issues along with priorities/schedules and translates them into actions for internal teams. TAM will need to mobilize the required expertise calling on HW/SW application engineers, testing and development teams. The prime measure of success is the quality and responsiveness of the technical support delivered to the assigned project.
An ideal candidate will be coming with strong wireless communication background with project management experience.
The successful candidate will get a chance to work on cutting edge wireless technologies from leading device manufacturers to commercialization.
10 years Software Applications Engineering, Wireless Communication systems, or related work experience.
4 years of customer interfacing / management experience
Understanding of Automotive project cycle and risks associated throughout the process
Familiar with key players in the wireless industry like device manufactures, infrastructure vendors, European carriers, etc
Experience with embedded software development, integration & debugging
Good communication and organizing skills
Team player with a successful track-record of working inside diverse global organizations
Solid technical knowledge of Qualcomm’s Telematics chipsets, technologies, and roadmap.
Negotiating, establishing, and managing effective technical support activities & plans towards customers
Tracking customer program schedules, priorities & risk management.
Assessing complex technical issues arising from customer product developments
Leading and coordinating engineering resources in resolving complex technical issues
Building, maintaining, and leveraging a network of engineering specialists within Qualcomm
Organizing technical training, design reviews and engineering workshops on behalf of customers
Hosting conference calls and web meetings
Providing Technical support to business development
Building trusted relationship with customers and Qualcomm internal team
*** This role involves European and global travel up to 40%***
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
Knowledge and understanding of LTE, NR, IMS (VoLTE/Vowifi/VoNR) systems
5 years of mobile or automotive SW or HW development experience
Experience of WLAN, BT and connectivity solution Engineering
Ability to speak and write in English fluently
5-7 years’ experience with debugging and analysis of wireless communication systems.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelors – Computer Science, Bachelors – Engineering, Bachelors – Information Systems
Work Experiences:
3+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
2+ years experience with debugging techniques.
5+ years Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience.
