This is a unique and exciting opportunity within the IBM Ecosystem organization, using technical content development expertise to manage content needs for a developer audience. IBM Developer (developer.ibm.com) is our primary content platform for growing our influence with developers around the world through a code, content, and community approach. This role is an opportunity to establish a technical content developer position in India to develop and publish content in support of the overall IBM Developer mission with an emphasis on collaborating with the India ecosystem engineering team, specifically leading pattern/lab content creation. This role will receive direction from US management and also be a member of the US-based IBM Developer team.

Your Role and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

The Technical content developer role will also produce and edit content for the IBM Developer site across technical areas including, but not limited to artificial intelligence, cloud computing, containers, Kubernetes, data/analytics, Java, Node.js, and much more.

Content development:
Developing, designing, writing, and reviewing technical content
Quality assurance of content steps to ensure content works appropriately
Use GitHub and ZenHub to manage content projects and move through editorial and review process
Meticulous attention to detail in copy editing
Work with IBM marketing to promote content

Content lifecycle maintenance:
Investigate site feedback issues: broken links, outdated product versions or terminology, update learning instructions
Review content quality dashboard and evaluate ‘check dates’ for content updates
Correct easy fixes
Work with IBM/non-IBM authors to resolve content issues
Set deadlines and close issues (edit, retire, remove)

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

5+ Years of IT Experience.
Proven written and verbal communication skills
Proven analytical and critical thinking skills
Impeccable editorial judgment
Relationship building and mentorship with content creators
Proven understanding of the role social media plays in building audience and promoting content

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Software development
Experience working with GitHub and pull requests.
Experience tech publishing or documentation
Background in or general understanding of computer science and programming
