Job Description
Technical Product Management is a critical function at Operations & Infrastructure and this team is responsible for driving strategic priorities, roadmap, execution and implementation for Cloud Platform related automation by collaborating with cross-functional teams and work closely with the architecture and engineering teams within Visa’s Global Operations and Infrastructure organization.
This is an exciting opportunity to make key contributions to help transform Visa’s global Cloud Platform with a focus on Platform as a Service and Container as a Service capabilities including Compute, Network and Network components. As part of the team, the candidate is empowered to lead by example to manage key initiatives while delivering efficiency through automation. Their innovative and analytical systematic approach towards qualitative and quantitative data driven decision making, will lead toward successful delivery against strategy.
The successful incumbent will provide technical leadership in several areas of expertise, including end-to-end Infrastructure delivery including compute, storage, backup, networks, firewall, load balancers and certificates. They will develop and execute new initiatives to simplify, standardize and optimize the infrastructure and platform design to reduce cycle times and increase reliability, stability, and service agility. They will work collaboratively with key internal stakeholders across several functional and technology areas of Visa to execute business priorities and meet challenges of technology, regulatory, security, and competitive conditions.
Essential Functions:
Manage, execute and delivery of roadmaps aligning with product strategy
Partner with internal and external stakeholders to understand business problems and then design and develop required solution
Develop design and application architecture to meet the company’s cloud & infrastructure automation business goals
Identify and assess technology trends and articulate technology recommendations
Lead the development of innovative infrastructure engineering tools and processes, as well as proof-of-concept projects and lab trials with a focus on multi-vendor solutions and innovative technologies, particularly focused around software defined operations and CI/CD
Reliably capture product feature adoption and track success/failure to SLA trends. Accountable for establishing, capturing, measuring and reporting product metrics and KPIs on a periodic basis
Improve efficiency of the current complex cloud and infrastructure operations processes thru automation
Demonstrate knowledge of networking technologies as well as a good understanding of Firewall and certificates
Have experience with development/automation and strong passion to promote developer experience and productivity
Interact with personnel at all levels and across all business units to comprehend complex business initiatives
Extensive experience working with customers to understand their business needs and prioritizing accordingly on the roadmap

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
6-8 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 4 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA)

Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years experience in working with highly effective engineering teams on Cloud Platform initiativesDemonstrated technical knowledge of compute, storage and networking technologiesHands-on experience in designing and deploying enterprise-level applications on CloudDemonstrated experience of metrics-driven management with accountabilityDemonstrated understanding of tools and technologies in PaaS and Container space including KubernetesDemonstrate knowledge of key Container related concepts like Service Mesh, Docker ClustersDemonstrate knowledge of GitOps Framework, Logging, Monitoring, Open source KubernetesGood understanding of various offerings of public cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, GoogleSecurity is prime job and responsibility at Visa and must have exposure and experience dealing with industry practicesPassionate about end user experiences that includes infrastructure and application lifecycle managementFinancial services and card payments experienceExperience in working on UX aspects ranging from UX Research, UX flows to Usability tests
