British-born, today we have 14 stores across the UK and are excited to have recently opened our first store in the US an established Interior Design and Trade business, a mail-order service, thriving website and an app.
We are now recruiting for a Full Time Technologist to be based from our Didcot Head Office in South Oxfordshire.
Main Duties:
Work closely with suppliers to implement product performance standards and ensure approvals are completed in line with the critical path.
Work with our suppliers to drive improvements to ways of working, empowering our suppliers to deliver right first time
Develop our enhanced product testing plans, ensuring our products outperform the market in terms of performance and reliability
Monitor category performance against objectives and targets including returns and customer reviews to improve and develop product ranges
Quickly address product issues to minimize risk and impact to the customer within appropriate time frames
Work closely with Product Development, Merchandising, Design and suppliers to implement sustainable and circularity initiatives.
Ensure that manufacturing sites meet OKAs technical and ethical standards and support with corrective actions
Using expertise to develop product with key stakeholders, managing this through the critical path successfully. Manage small technical projects, thinking of solutions whilst considering the customer at all times.
Skills and Experience:
Experience in a similar role, in retail or supply chain
Knowledge of standards and regulations for consumer products
Expertise in the field of furniture including manufacturing methods, materials and construction
Excellent analytical, communication and time management skills
Ability to prioritise and succeed in a fast-paced environment
Experience in furniture is essential
Must be proactive and diligent with a willingness to drive progress
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently
Excellent attention to detail.
