So let’s get to the good bit: You.You have been working within the product development industry for several years, perhaps within a few different roles, but typically focussed around testing, analysis, reliability or quality. You are organised and logical and can form a clear path when complex decisions need to be made.You are practical and hands-on with an eye for detail. Leading by example your focus is on completion of tasks ‘right-first-time’.Location: Hybrid working; a mix of working from our Bristol office & working remotelyEmployment type: Permanent (please note, you must have the right to work in the UK)What you’ll be doingEnsure our products reflect the quality customers expect of a premium brand regarding product performance and reliability; working within the test team to support the engineering teams (HW, EE, SW, CI) to design and conduct performance and reliability testing and functional assessments through the product development cycle. Reporting to Test Lead. Working across the Product and Quality teams.Key responsibilitiesFollowing some initial supervision, work independently to own and execute product development performance and reliability testing to verify product robustness.Conduct functional product assessments and software acceptance tests.Keep meticulous records, analyse the test data and report results and findings to stakeholders.Support the generation and updating of new and current test documentation in accordance with company quality standards.Design and build tests, test rigs and fixtures to support your workConduct root cause investigations. Report, present and implement recommendations.Identify opportunities to improve product quality and reduce costKeep abreast of test and manufacturing technological developmentsProvide technical input and insight for new products in developmentRequirements: Experience within design, product development, reliability, testing, quality and/or manufacture of mass produced consumer electronic productsFamiliarity with common test tools and softwareSome previous experience with electro-mechanical devicesComfortable with computers and office type software (MS Word, Excel, etc)High attention to detailCan follow processesFast learner and self-starterProficient in spoken and written EnglishThe ability to communicate effectivelyClear, accurate and concise report writingWorking both alone and with leadership supportProven ability to run multiple projects concurrently in an efficient mannerScience/engineering degree and/or electro-mechanical qualification is a benefit.Benefits: We’re on an exceptional journey.
