Job Description : Phoenix Traffic & Labour, are family owned and operated, delivering industry best standards in Traffic Management, planning and labour hire across Melbourne since 2010 and Metro Sydney since 2015.Our friendly and fully accredited team has the has the knowledge and resources to ensure every job is accomplished seamlessly from development to completion.We pride ourselves on prompt and clear communication, and our proven processes allowing for minimal disruption to clients, the public and key stakeholdersThe foundation of our company is safety first, honesty and highest possible quality of work.Each member of our team, is well presented, highly skilled, ticketed, financial and will offer the best possible service, ensuring the highest level of safety at all times.Join our team of Traffic Controllers & General Labourers and be a part of providing some of Melbourne’s most exciting construction projects.About the roleWe are currently working on multiple major projects, upcoming and existing, throughout Melbourne.We are looking for reliable Traffic Controllers with a commitment to safety and team work for shifts across Metro Melbourne.Role RequirementsPerform all tasks associated with traffic management for construction works or eventsUse of Stop/Slow Bat to control trafficImplement and monitor TMP & TGSControl pedestrians, traffic and cyclists to protect both the work site and general publicComplete vehicle pre-start checksLoad and unload vehicles with signage and equipmentComplete required paperwork using our Rostering and Sign on Glass time sheet App.Complete site hazard assessments and implement control measures to suit the siteReport on site hazards and near missesObey instructions from team leaders, foremen, or inspectors and auditorsDrive and tow, an arrow board or VMB (Visual Message Board).Skills & ExperienceMust have completed an approved Traffic Management Course by a registered provider and hold current White Card (Construction Induction Card), RIIWHS205E Traffic Control, RIIWHS302E Traffic Plan.Own reliable transport to attend work and preferably have a MANUAL Driver’s licenceAvailabe to work days, nights, weekends and at short notice.Safety focused with excellent communication skills who can work in a team or individuallyMust be fully vaccinated for Covid-19.Culture & BenefitsCompany branded PPEHourly rate as per Building and Construction General On-site Award [MA000020] + super + coinvestMeal allowance paid over 9.5 hours on a shiftTravel allowance paid per shift workedTime and a half and double-time rates paid for overtimeCommited to safety, and in all we do – an industry leaderFun and engaging safety, wellbeing of all our staff.Weekly pay cycle with penalty ratesJob Type: Part-timePart-time hours: 20 per weekSalary: $27.00 – $60.00 per hourSchedule:10 hour shift8 hour shiftDay shiftNight shiftOn callOvertimeWeekend availabilityLicence/Certification:Current Traffic Management Tickets and White Card.
