Job Description : WHO YOU ARE

The purpose of the role is to advise, monitor, and support Ingka Group in the UK in a pro-active way on direct and indirect tax matters.
The business is a new part of the UK IKEA Group and therefore requires someone with experience of all taxes and is a self-starter in establishing best in class tax processes and controls. The role is a stand-alone role and reports to the UK/IE Country Tax Manager.

Although the key requirement of the role is set out below, it is expected that the role holder will use their experience to determine what needs to be considered and actioned.

Essential Requirements:

University degree in Tax Law or Finance or equivalent
Qualified on ATT/CTAMin of 4+ years experience in Tax, in an advisory in-house capacityEssential you have experience in all 3 Taxes Corporate, VAT and Employment TaxesPrior experience in an advisory and compliance inhouse
Strong relationship/stakeholder management experience in embedding the tax process, procedures, and compliance inhouse
Preferred Requirements
Microsoft Dynamics experience
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

Understand the VAT profile of the business and answer all day-to-day questions, work with external advisors on the current outsource VAT returns process with a view of bringing the return preparation and submission inhouse including considering all making tax digital requirementsLead on all aspects of corporation tax, preparing all the necessary information required for the completion of tax returns, installment payments, etc.Capital allowance analysis of construction works with a view to maximizing all allowance available (including looking at super deduction).Look at the current accounting process in line with SAO guidance to provide sign off to the SOA of the groupConsider the employment tax compliance requirement for the business to include PAYE settlement agreement, short term business visitors, P11DS and ensure general compliance against all employee tax matters other than payrollPrepare and review CIS Monthly returnsWork with the accounting team so that they fully understand all tax-related matters and answer all their day-to-day questionsConsider all tax processes and controls and ensure they are implemented

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

This position is on a 6month Fixed Term Contract. You will work a min of 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
