You Must Have
8+ years of Information Technology experience
5+ years combined technical experience with Azure Virtual Desktop and/or VMWare Horizon
Managed persistent and non-persistent VDI
Significant experience in designing, developing, and debugging scalable End User Computing Solutions
Experience in service and support automation using DevOps model
We Value
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related subject area
Adept with ITSM tool – Service Now, Incident, Change and Problem Management, Reporting, CMDB
Proficient knowledge of Image creation/customization/upgrades
Involved in operations support at L2/L3 level
Involved in vulnerability remediation of IT resources including patching
Conveys specific, observable, and/or measurable expectations for each assignment, and verifies understanding and agreement on deliverables and timeframes
Managed a team to deliver service/support
Expectations:
Lead a team to deliver the following
Manage ITSM processes for VDI service –
Responsible for Incident management – L1/L2 incident support
Responsible for Change implementation
Participate in Problem management
Create / update Knowledge Articles in ServiceNow, based on end user/service Desk feedback
Create / update Catalog Item forms in ITDirect for VDI service
Keep CMDB updated
Sev1/2 issue coordination and communication to stake holders
Metrics reporting/dashboard
Vulnerability management
VMware VDI Server patching operations – Monthly / Emergency
VMWare & Azure VDI end user VM image updates/patching – Monthly / Emergency
Coordinate with HGS, DCN and End user Computing teams
VDI pool/resource management
Add remove VMs from pool
Check end user VM, ESXI, vCenter, VSAN, etc. health
Update end user VM resources based on usage
Reclaim unused VM resources
Automation
VM provisioning
VM reclamation, including Storage Account cleanup, disk, Network Interface, etc.
VM resource changes
Self Service for end users – reboot VM in unavailable state, etc.
