About the Team
The Workplace Technology Team is the primary interface between users and the business systems and applications and is the primary enabler of communication, collaboration and access to business applications across the region. As the custodian of the Internal Customer Experience of Optus Employees, the performance of the team can reflect the user community’s perception of the overall IT experience. Technologies include Data Loss Prevention (DLP), endpoint protection, directory services, messaging, collaboration tools, SOE and configuration management, Mobile Device and Application Management (MDM/MAM), proxies, CASB, and PKI.

About the Role
Key responsibilities include:
Conceptualisation, solutioning, and implementation of workplace related security technologies to transform Singtel IT, to meet current and future business demands
Drive transformational changes to Singtel IT infrastructure in order to bring about optimisation and cost efficiencies to the workforce, to achieve business and Group IT KPIs
Develop strategies for current and next generation workplace security technologies and infrastructure platforms
Design and governance of these systems on premise, in the cloud and/or hybrid modes
Evaluation of new technologies and features, Solution Design and Reference Architecture development for an enterprise of over 20,000 employees and guiding approval, implementation and operation of same
Provide input to develop and communicate Workplace Technology security strategies and standards via appropriate Reference Architectures including on-premise, hybrid and/or cloud options
Develop solutions and ensure compliance of others’ solutions with above Reference Architectures
Identify and investigate opportunities to utilise and integrate emerging technologies to provide cost effective and flexible solutions
Manage the introduction of new technologies and features into the production environment
Provide adept guidance and support to business and technical managers and Architects on major projects that are of strategic significance or complexity
Collaborate with a global workforce of technology professionals to maximise capacity and integrated communications capability
Solve complex problems and provide expert technical advisement to engineering and operational teams

Your Major Challenges will be Significant Legacy Systems Exposure; Cost Control (Design and build to appropriate levels of resilience, reliability, performance and support, while at the same time minimising costs and Consulting & Influencing to achieve successful strategic solutions to complex business problems or competing priorities, including communication of complex technical problems for non-technical staff.

About You
We are looking for the following skills experience and attributes
Proven expert ability to provide end user security strategies and the design of optimised solutions in complex and large multi-site environments
In depth, advanced knowledge of core Microsoft security technologies (Defender products, Intune, MCAS, conditional access policies), messaging and collaboration tools, and MDM/MAM platforms
Strong understanding and application of change management competencies and risk mitigation techniques
Proven experience designing and implementing Microsoft DLP capabilities, including data classification, labelling, AIP, conditional access, app protection policies, Microsoft Endpoint Manager
Excellent presentation, written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to lead change
Ability to influence senior stakeholders by demonstrating the value of technologies and communicating risk mitigation strategies
Design planning and technical specification skills, incorporating advanced problem solving and analysis of workplace technology systems
Proven ability to work with a mixed workforce of internal and outsourced vendors to achieve maximum efficiency and results
