Job Description : 1:1 Support for child in reception at Bristol primary school – immediate start.
Axcis Education are looking for a teaching assistant to work closely with a reception child at a Bristol primary school full time and long term. The child has been diagnosed with autism and is currently non verbal and can only be communicated with via PECS. The school are looking for someone to start as soon as possible and would like someone that has supported those with autism before. The ideal candidate will be patient and have lots of empathy, as well as firm expectations on behaviour.
The school has good transport links so is easy to get to for those that are looking to commute using a bus. Because of how quickly we are looking for someone, we ideally need the right person to have a enhanced DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one quickly.
