Job Description : We are a new practice and due to growth, we are seeking an accountant to join our firm, with at least 2 years’ experience of working within an accountancy firm working with clients and finalising year end accounts.You will benefit from working in a friendly, hands on environment whereby the staff are highly focused on supporting one another to offer excellent service to our clients.We are looking for a person who wants to make a real difference to the future of our clients, a person who enjoys client interaction and who can meet deadlines.Job DescriptionYour duties in this broad ranging role will include working on sole traders through to limited companies and your specific responsibilities will involve:Accounts preparation and finalisation for Limited Companies, Sole Traders, Partnerships and CharitiesCorporate, Personal and Partnership Tax Computations and ReturnsAssisting and completing client Bookkeeping and reconciliationsAccruals and prepaymentsCalculation and posting of journalsCompany Secretarial Work, such as filing confirmation statementsWork from clients sites, as well as the office (and occasionally from home)Preparing, Overseeing and filing VAT Clients and ensuring clients are MTD for VAT compliantLiaising and meeting with clients on a regular basis regarding their Accounts, Tax and other related workDealing with HMRCTraining and supervising less senior staff and reviewing their workReporting to ManagersCompleting CPD requirementsCompleting Money Laundering and GDPR requirementsAd-hoc duties as requiredThis job description is a guide to the work you will initially be required to undertake.
