Job Description : Introduction
As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Designing and Delivering AS/400 Application and Data Integration and Modernization solutions using technologies like MQ, REST API, Stored Procedures, Web Services, ETL/DCDC solutions
Developing custom tools, utilities and accelerators
Client facing role,Good understanding of Devops on AS/400 using products from IBM, ARCAD Solutions etc
Experience in DB2 Migration from DDS to DDL (PF/LF to SQL Files)
Good knowledge on RPG Upgrade / Migration from Fixed Format to Free Format
Exposure to Static Code Analysis tools like Fresche X-Analysis and Arcad

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

10+ Years of Architecture, Design and Development experience on core AS/400 technologies : iOS DB2, CL, RPG III/RPG IV/RPG LE
In-depth knowledge on SQL/400, QUERY/400 and other AS/400 utilities
Excellent understanding of Database Technologies: DDS Physical and Logical files, SQL files, Stored Procedures and Complex SQLs
Expertise in Automation using scripting technologies like CL, REXX, Python
Experience with Advanced ILE concepts – Procedures, Service programs, Functions
Good understanding of Application and Database Performance Best Practices and Tuning
Experience in supporting Technical Presales and Solution Design SME for RFPs and RFIs

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

Exposure to any one distributed technology like Java, .Net or Python
Exposure to any one ERP solution on IBMi like BPCS
Exposure to 4GL like Synon
Exposure to any one Cloud Platform like Redhat OCP, AWS, Azure, GCP or IBM Cloud
