Your Role and Responsibilities
As an expert developer with experience in developing cloud native application, you will be responsible for working out smooth journey to cloud of the various on-prem applications. The successful candidate will have hands-on development experience with Go, Containers, Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift and OpenShift Operator SDK.
Responsibilities:
Extending and Creating OpenShift Operator(s) using the OpenShift SDK.
Familiarity with Operator Maturity model, and Kubernetes, using either Configuration Management (e.g., Ansible, etc.), Packaging (e.g., Helm, etc.), and/or, Operator Programming using Go/Ruby/Python.
Participate in the code review processes, write test cases, and perform testing for the changes.
Setup and maintain different environments Dev, QA/Test etc.
Install and upgrade Operator based application
Add Operators to integrate with Control Planes and Service mesh, to serve Online/Offline clusters
Help the DevOps team setup CICD pipelines for automated change delivery and testing.
Follow the IBM Engineering best practices to deliver the Product.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
3 – 7 yrs. of relevant industry experience, working with DevOps pipeline automation, and migration using Open-Source technologies like Kubernetes, Jenkins, etc.
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Computer Science or similar field.
Team player and should have experience in working in Agile methodology.
Hands on experience in working with RedHat OpenShift Operators.
Hands on experience in Languages Go (Preferred), C++, Java, Python, or, Ansible + YAML.
Have successfully carried out migration to Cloud leveraging OpenShift.
Hands on experience with Linux, RHEL, Shell Scripting
Experience in test frameworks like Ginkgo (Good to have), Selenium/CSPF (Good to have)
Experience of IBM ELM product suite is a plus.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Same as above.
