Position :
Job Description : To provide support to the Finance & Performance Manager (FPM) for Income and Contracts, and the Senior Finance and Performance Analyst (SFPA) – Income and Contracts in the reporting of the activity and income position of Sherwood Forest Hospital’s.
The reporting will be both for the internal and external stakeholders of the income and contracts team. This role will help support the development of the reporting to help meet the requirements of both groups of stakeholders
Maintain and develop the transition of information from the Information Department into the SLAM system.
The main tasks / duties of the role are as follows;
Assist in the production of a month end activity and finance position.
Help sense check and improve the robustness of this position.
Working alongside the FPM and SFPA, improve where possible, the process for generating this position.
Ensure that all controls and reconciliations are in place.
Assist in the development of the internal reporting of the position.
Where any queries are raised help the FPM and SFPA in answering them and suggesting possible solutions.
Help support areas where improvements in the counting and coding of activity can be made, and help deliver these improvements in the Service level model.
Assist the FPM in working with the divisions to set up the indicative activity plans for the business planning process.
Liaise with the commissioner’s regards the provision of activity monitoring information and providing respond to commissioner queries.
Work on the in-year forecasting process for both the activity and financial position. Working alongside FPM and SFPA, look to improve the accuracy and robustness of the above forecasts and the reporting of these.
Help assist the FPM in the completion of any nationally mandated returns such as the NHSE and ICS Data Landing Portal returns.
Be aware of the importance of patient confidentiality and handle data appropriately.
