Main purpose of the Job:
Sound United is seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant to support our premier Bowers & Wilkins UK manufacturing site in Worthing, West Sussex. The plant manufacturers Bowers & Wilkins 800 Series Diamond and Nautilus loudspeakers.
The Assistant Financial Accountant will be responsible for the assistance of processing and preparing timely monthly accounts within both SAP and the Global Consolidation system OneStream. This is a highly visible role and is a valued member of the global finance organization at Sound United.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing financial documents such as invoices, bills, and accounts payable and receivable
Completing financial reports on a regular basis and providing information to the finance team
Assisting with budgets
Completing bank reconciliations
Entering financial information into SAP and Onestream
Managing company ledgers
Verifying balances in account books and rectifying discrepancies
Verifying bank deposits
Managing day-to-day transactions
Recording office expenditures and ensuring these expenses are within the set budget
Assisting the finance department and senior accounting staff members with various tasks, including preparing budgets, records, and statements
Posting daily receipts
Completing the year-end analysis
Handling accruals and prepayments
Encoding accounting entries for data processing
Sorting financial documents and posting them to the proper accounts
Resolving errors in financial reports and correcting faulty reporting methods
Areas of accountability:
Spend Analysis and Control
Actuals, Forecasts, and Annual Budget
Fixed Assets and Working Capital
Required Skill Sets:
Part qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent, ideally suited to first role outside Accounting Practice. SAP experience or a willingness to learn is essential. Onestream or Hyperion experience is an advantage, or an enquiring mind systems-wise.
