Assistant Manager, Image Editor
What This Position Is All About:
This role is responsible for a team of Image Editors who retouch and review the images created for publication to our various ecommerce site. This position is responsible for maintaining quality assurance for team’s retouching services as well as internal QC for both product array and editorial. The technical ability of this team will provide the critical consistency of all images.
Must have the ability to manage a team in a fast paced, high volume environment and special projects. Time and resource management skills are critical as they will need to flex resources in order to meet increasing demands. This individual will also be responsible for managing team’s productivity and quality standards. Skills must span from creative and technical to project, workload and asset management, google sheets and communication between teams and cross-functional partners.

You also have:
MAC proficient with superior expertise using Photoshop and other image manipulation software
Ability to understand ecomm item and workflows
Asset management and workflow creation/implementation
Superior knowledge of color theory, pre-press and print technologies is
Results driven and a sense of urgency
Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.Strong people skills to build meaningful cross functional partnerships
As a Assistant Manager on the team, you will:
5 years professional experience required in a high volume image retouching role
Previous management experience or tenure as Sr. Image Editor
Superior knowledge of Photoshop and excellent photo-retouching skills necessary
Retouching skills include but are not limited to; creating good
selections, masking, dropping in backgrounds, cropping, color
correcting, curves/levels adjustments, liquefying, compositing and using
history states
Video Editing experience using Final Cut Pro is a plus
Ability to manage a large team in a fast paced, high volume
environment. Time and resource management are critical
Ability to flex resources to meet increasing demands
Lean Six Sigma & Kaizen training
Scripting knowledge preferred
