Assistant Manager,Motion Design
What This Position Is All About:
The Assistant Manager – motion design will play an integral role in creating engaging IG stories and motion graphic advertisements for the social media channels and other Saks Fifth Avenue’s digital channels and will also be responsible for overseeing a team of motion and html5 designers and video editor.

Someone who is passionate about building engaging digital content and possesses right balance of visual design/animations skills with excellent knowledge of technology and tools to optimize creatives effectively in the digital space. You follow the industry trends closely and are up to date with the latest in motion design and digital advertising space.
As the motion design Assistant Manager, you will:
Oversee an team of motion designers and manage day to day operations and partnerships to create highly engaging motion ads for display, affiliate, paid social and other marketing channels
Work closely with the design team in coming up with interesting ways to create motion graphics with editorial images, videos and strong typography in After Effects.
Execute highly engaging animations and other-high performing ads consistently and effectively for marketing.
Understand brand and visual identity, campaign objectives and assist in managing brand consistency in colours and treatment across all graphic elements.
Proposing and contributing creative concepts, animation, backed by research, inspiration, and competitive research.
You will also need to work closely with the media team/agencies to understand the briefs and ensure all criteria is met for handing over the final files/assets.
You also have:
5-7 years’ experience in designing motion ads, IG stories and social media marketing creatives. (preferably with a digital marketing creative agency)
Proficiency & hands on experience with Adobe After Effects mandatory. Adobe Animate is a plus
Strong working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Adobe Animate, Photoshop, Premier, & Illustrator
Strong understanding of design, layout, typography and animation in the digital space
Excellent knowledge of the digital environment – including files, formats and best practices
Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills and people management skills
Should have led a team of 2-5 motion designers in the past experiences
Strong time management skills, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
