Job Description : The post is a Job share or 8 hours/week (2 sessions) with key responsibility for quality management of dental specialty training programmes in the North West region. HEE NW supports all dental specialty trainees, including those in academic posts, located in Trusts across NW region. The postholder is responsible to the Postgraduate Dental Dean.
The dental postgraduate team is based in PP3, Manchester and Regatta Place Liverpool and the postholder will need to travel between both sites and other venues when required.
The applicant will;
Advise Dental Postgraduate Dean on all matters relating to Specialty training
Be responsible for the Recruitment & line management of Training Programme Directors (currently 10 )
Chair bi-annual south west regional committee for Specialty training
Have a key role in recruitment of specialty trainees (regional and national) including interview panels
Represent Dean on specialty ARCP panels
Establish and proactively maintain effective relationships with Specialist Training Programme Directors and Educational Supervisors

The applicant must:
Have current Registration with the GDC as a Dentist
Be on a GDC Specialist List
Completion of specialist training in a dental speciality (CCST)
Completion of trainer/educator courses to at least educational supervisor level
