Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Data Architect, you’ll work on data integration, migration, and transformation projects. Design large-scale data processing systems, design and develop data pipelines. Design infrastructure optimized for scalability, reliability and machine learning, and troubleshoot potential platform issues. You will work with data scientists and key technical leaders to bring technical solutions to life and to build and constantly drive excellence in the platform..

Responsibilities:

Provide deep technical expertise on data platform infrastructure, data standardization, quality, accessibility as well as Big Data technologiesDesign and deliver high-quality solutions including sample code and solve complex technical challengesBe responsible for design, standardization, integration and build of data elements within the strategic data plan working both independently and with our development and operations service providersImplement quality control process to ensure that data is of the highest qualityBe a trusted technical advisor to Kyndryl Marketing, and solve complex Big Data challengesCreate and deliver best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code, and technical presentations to different levels of key business and technical stakeholders

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
8+ years of experience of IT platform implementation in a highly technical and analytical role
3+ years of experience of Data Lake/Hadoop platform implementation
Experience in architecting and writing database or analytics code (e.g., data pipelines) and scripts in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, etc.)
Proficient in any of the programming languages – Python, Scala or Java
Experience in modern data platform components such as the Hadoop, Hive, HBase, Spark, Python/Scala/Java, Kafka … (or similar)
Knowledge and experience with Big Data distributions on Hadoop like Hortonworks, Cloudera or Databricks
Familiarity with one or more SQL-on-Hadoop technology (Hive, Impala, Spark SQL, Presto).
Good SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases
Linux, bash (at least basics
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Experience with Distributed Versioning Control environments such as GIT
Familiarity with development tools – experience on either IntelliJ / Eclipse / VSCode IDE, Build Tool Maven
Demonstrated experience in modern API platform design including how modern UI’s are built consuming services / APIs.
Solid experience in all phases of Software Development Lifecycle – plan, design, develop, test, release, maintain and support, decommission
Experience with Azure or AWS cloud is an advantage
Experience on Azure cloud including Data Factory, Data Lake Storage or experience with AWS EMS is great advantage
