Job Description : Position: Bookkeeping assistantHours – Full time 5 days or Part time 3 days a weekReporting to: BookkeeperSalary: CompetitiveBrief OverviewOyster Pools & Hot Tubs are a rapidly expanding company who have been in business for over 41 years, we now require an additional part time bookkeeping assistant to help with the demand the department is under, you will be expected to have a minimum of 12-months experience in a similar role, however training will be provided.Preparing and sending outgoing invoices, and reminders when needed.Processing incoming payments.Checking and processing incoming invoices from suppliers.Importing book sale records.Taking card payments over the telephone.Managing petty cash.Resolving queries from customers.Updating financial databases and maintaining accurate financial records.Performing administrative duties, data entry, preparing financial reports and filing records.Responding to ad-hoc tasks when required.The CandidateKnowledge of financial and accounting software (Xero or Sage ideal)Proficient using MS Office; Excel.Clear communication skills, both written and verbal.Professionalism, integrity, and reliability.Problem-solving abilities.Meticulous attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to adhere carefully to established procedures.Professional and courteous telephone manner.Realistic experience of the work involved for this role.The maturity to manage themselves, working independently and on their own initiative as well as within the wider team.Work remotelyNoJob Types: Part-time, PermanentSalary: £7,200.00-£22,000.00 per yearSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayExperience:bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
