In this role, you have the opportunity to
Make the difference in Philips business systems, Philips business transformation programs and Philips’s solutions journey via End to End (E2E) consistent and standard data.
This includes data models, data design, data governance and data flows to complement the process and IT systems setup.
You will bring a strong enterprise data background in senior data design and architecture roles coupled with expertise and experience in creating E2E view of data. Also experience in creating a scalable, consistent, and simplified data models.
Strong leadership and influencing skills with ability to connect with senior leaders in process, IT and business.
The successful candidate is
Accountable and responsible for the target data models & definitions – including master & transactional data to support business processes, products, and solutions in the Service domain
Responsible for the development of the conceptual, and logical data models in our service landscape including good translation towards the Physical data models
Support and advise on physical data models and the implementations in master data stores, operational data store (ODS), data marts, and data lakes following the conceptual and logical data models
Define and implement data governance and data management processes on the IT platforms, responsible for compliance (ICS Sox etc.), responsible for critical data fields and data quality of the domain
Work independently and collaboratively with multiple layers in the organization effectively to achieve the goals. Working closely with process owners and experts.
Influence and drive change in data thinking across (senior) stakeholders and leaders across Philips
You are responsible for
Gathering information related requirements with Business Process Experts including business process and regulatory requirements. Secure approvals and change control process on data models and master data management processes (up to level 5-6)
Designing and maintaining the PIL target information models – including master & transactional data & regulatory and standardization controls. Ensuring data quality and end-to-end consistency across the models in cooperation with BIEs & other BIOs cross domains
Validating the target information models with BPO/BPEs as part of the solution design, and with IT BA’s ensuring implementation as per design; documenting it using standard notations, templates and tools as defined within EIM.
Actively supporting the business transformation in Philips Integrated Landscape (PIL) and business transformation programs
Defines and maintain data quality rules/checks working closely with data quality team
With each new deployment, actively review data design changes proposed by IT platforms
Actively supporting data domain compliance i.e. ICS Sox, FDA, Privacy etc.
Guide the dedicated service domain Business Information Experts across platforms
Supporting the definition of the master data domain roadmap including requirements, design and governance, implementation and deployment of the MDM solution and processes.
Identifying and promoting continuous improvement opportunities to drive standardization design and adherence, including on data quality, by linking to business stakeholders, BPEs, EIM data services and projects as well as with the IT community
Skills required for this role:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in information management, computer/data science technical or related experience.
10+ years of working experience in the service data domain, related business processes and related IT systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning, configure-price-quote and pricing tools and Service /Installed Base knowledge
The role has emphasis on experience with data areas related to a commercial end to end product and service lifecycle from ordering through end of service maintenance.
Have a proven track record in expert roles driving master data management solutions (requirements definition and consulting, data modeling, data governance, implementation and roll out of data models) and the ability to translate business requirements into data requirements and vice versa with process experts and IT business analysts.
Have solid business and operational experience with both hardware and software service delivery models.
Experience with data quality and MDM solutions
Are able to effectively present and communicate to senior stakeholders;
Have the right communications skill set to challenge and influence counterparts;
Have a broad understanding of business challenges in high tech manufacturing in terms of value chain processes and business models (product, system, software, service);
Have the potential to develop leadership in selected information model domains focusing in the service domain
Are able understand and master the complex dependencies between Order-To-Cash, Service and Post Market Surveillance business processes and the corresponding enterprise applications.
Having worked in similar sized, complexity and matrixed organization.
