Job Description : Casual/Bank Teaching Assistant’s – Wigan
Milk Education is a specialist education recruitment agency providing quality supply teachers and support specialists to Primary, Secondary and SEN Schools. We’re currently looking for Teaching Assistant’s to join our pool of Bank Staff to help cover in our partnership schools in the borough of Wigan.
We are looking for Bank Staff to help cover the shortfalls in the rotas (due to sickness/holidays etc) and support with young people who have specific 1:1 needs. They are also looking for people who are happy to cover as a general TA in the classroom supporting the class teacher with every day duties, including working with groups of children who require additional support.
Willingness to travel across the borough of Wigan is essential and we ask you are available between the hours of 08:30-15:30 to be considered.
In order to apply you must:
Have or be working towards Teaching Assistant Qualification Level 2 or 3 or QCF Level 3 in Childcare (Desirable) or an appropriate relevant education qualification
Have previous experience of working in an environment managing social, emotional or mental health needs and/or previous experience working within an educational environment
Have an understanding of the Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures
Have patience, understanding and a natural passion for teaching, guiding and empowering students
Support our pupils with learning and their general wellbeing and encourage a caring and safe environment
Work with pupils on a one-to-one basis or within small groups when needed
This type of role would suit someone needing flexibility and would complement part time studies, family commitments or other work.
