Hours: Mon- Sun. Flexible hours – shifts will include rota based days, evenings (including late night calls), weekends, bank holidays
Salary: £9.99 per hour (inclusive of applicable allowances and entitlements)

A valid driving license and access to own vehicle is desirable.

About the role
This service supports adults with mental health conditions and autism over five schemes in the Nottingham area. The successful candidate will also cover outreach support which is why a driving license and access to own vehicle are desirable.
You will work together with the team and in partnership with other agencies to provide an excellent service. You will be passionate about ensuring the service we deliver is person-centred in supporting our customers to develop their confidence, skills, and independence in their homes and in the local community including:
Maintaining their homes
Budgeting and shopping
Planning and preparing meals
Support with medication
Prompting for personal care
Being active in the community (employment, study, volunteering and/or leisure activities)
Maintaining relationships with family and friends
Accompanying customers to appointments and/or on excursions
Working in partnership with other agencies and organisations.

About the candidate
We are looking for ambitious and driven individuals to join our vibrant team as Casual Support Workers, based in Nottingham as well as covering our outreach services in the area. We would love to hear from you if you are passionate about improving the lives of local, vulnerable people, and we will consider your application even if you don’t have previous experience working in care or support. What matters to us is your ability and determination to support people with mental health conditions and learning disabilities, and the values you can bring to Advance.
Whether you want to work a few hours a week, or full-time, if you think a Support Worker role sounds right for you, you will need to be:
Flexible to work on a rolling rota
Good at working on your own and within a team
Excellent at communicating with people
Able to complete good quality support records.
Advance is regulated by the Regulator of Social Housing and the Care Quality Commission and we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the people we support. You will be required to provide evidence of right to work. An enhanced DBS disclosure will be required for this role, the cost of which will be covered by Advance.
