To be successful in this role, you will:
Manage all operations within Appian’s Chennai entity
Oversee country budget planning; deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual targets
Oversee a cross-functional, cross-cultural product teams
Align with Chennai, European and US functional leadership to ensure successful execution of all key initiatives out of Chennai
Build and execute strategic relationships across the APAC region with partners, customers, and educational institutions
Partner with Human Resources leader to recruit and manage staff inclusive of performance management, mentoring, training, onboarding, offboarding and policy
Establish and actively promote the Appian Brand collaborating with US Leadership and Marketing
Transplant and actively promote the Appian Culture across the Chennai Office
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Mathematics
MBA preferred
20+ years of experience in a Senior Executive role managing teams of a 100+ employees
5+ years of experience in managing a software engineering Center of Excellence (COE) that was focused on Product Development
Hands on experience in Software Engineering, Product Development a plus
Outstanding business acumen and interpersonal skills; flexibility both in mindset and in working conditions
Demonstrated history of success managing high performing, cross-departmental, cross-cultural teams
Experience defining and leading international expansions
Proven ability to not only strategize, but equally as important, to influence, innovate, and execute
Excellent organizational skills with attention to details
