Your responsibilities
Coordinates and executes operational activities related to employee engagement initiatives (e.g. webinars, townhalls).
Creates basic visual aids (as per brand guidelines) and manages more complex design requests with Communications Shared Services team.
Creates communication content to support global activities in line with corporate messaging and branding.
Proofreads, formats and edits of communication materials.
Manages and edits relevant CSS intranet pages and is responsible for their governance, quality and maintenance in collaboration with Hitachi Energy Web Team.
Ensures center- and function-specific information (e.g. organization charts) is up-to-date on both local and global company intranet pages.
Provides support with channel management and content upload – news articles, videos, official documentation.
Is the Communications SPOC for queries related to Global Travel Portal updates, managing the relationship with Hitachi Energy Web Team.
Manages communications metrics tools and produces engagement analytics reports.
Owns communication projects/initiatives as agreed with Global CSS Communications Lead and in collaboration with internal program and initiative owners.
Acts as a local “journalist” for CSS Bangalore and supports CSS Global Communications Lead by providing center-specific content, as per process and guidance received.
Manages consolidation of global CSS distribution lists.
Supports internal stakeholder liaison on behalf of Global CSS Communications Lead, when required.
In accordance with global guidance, deploys an internal communications framework for CSS Bangalore leading on aspects such as communications governance, content creation, copywriting, quality assurance and distribution.
Plans and organizes CSS Bangalore leadership events.
Contributes communications expertise to events such as CSS Bangalore employee engagement activities.
Provides best in-class communications expertise to core members of the local leadership team and HR.
Provides communication advice to people managers on communication activities which align with business and company culture objectives.
Ensures brand compliance and quality assurance of CSS Bangalore internal communications platforms and channels.
Measures, analyzes and recalibrates CSS Bangalore communication activities for maximum impact and engagement, in alignment with globally established metrics.
Ensures executional excellence throughout the area of responsibility for all communications measures in line with brand positioning, corporate identity/design guidelines and global strategy.
Owns local delivery of global CSS messages, ensuring appropriate reception by the local audience.
Ensures local engagement with wider Hitachi Energy Group communications programs and plans as required, working alongside other members of Communications Team.
Supports the creation of a strong leadership (senior management) community in CSS Bangalore, helping them drive employee engagement and own communication in their capacity as people leaders.
Creates and leads communications campaigns to build employee pride and engagement.
Consolidate CSS Bangalore-wide distribution groups.
Your background
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in any field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in communications, preferably in content management, public relations or marketing.
Full proficiency in English with exceptional written and verbal skills.
Advanced communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
Experience in administrating and managing SharePoint (Office365).
Good Project Management skills.
Highly organized team player, comfortable in a fast-paced global environment.
Preferable experience in basic web editing.
Preferable experience of working in a large global corporation.
Positive and passionate personality, with a strong drive to challenge the status quo and continuously improve things.
