Job Description : We are currently looking for a dedicated Community Care Assistant to join a homecare company with a difference. Ideally you should be living within ten miles of the Caerphilly & Newport where we currently have branches. This position is for the Newport area.We want employees’ who are motivated, passionate, reliable and enjoy working with others. Some experience of caring for others is desirable but not essential.We do expect professionalism and very high standards from our employees. In exchange we can promise, you will be valued and rewarded accordingly. As a Community Care Assistant you must be able to communicate with others effectively and keep accurate documentation about our clients.Community Care Assistant Job Role: To visit clients in their own homes and provide various care services and support.To assist with basic tasks like showering, preparing meals, assisting with medication,The most important role will be the companionship you bring to our clients.Hours of Work: Every other weekend commitment.6:45am-3pm or 3pm-10:30pm. (Roughly 8 hour shift)Full and part time hours (minimum 16 hours).Overtime available at enhanced rate.Regular shift patterns – two week rota rotation with fixed days off.Permanent contractCommunity Care Assistant Pay Rates: Grade One: £9.50-£10.30 (Entry Level)Grade Two: £9.75 – £10-60 (Achieved Level 2 Health and Social Care QCF/NVQ)Grade Three: £10.00 – £11.00 (Achieved Level 3 Health and Social Care QCF/NVQ)45p per mile travelled paid.Paid by the hour, not by the call.Areas We Cover: Duffryn – Rogerstone – Baesleg – Gaer – Ringland – Beechwood – High Cross – Marshfield – Liswerry – AlwayEssentials: You must hold a full driving license and have access to a car.You must be able to input information onto a mobile phone.You must be prepared to undertake further training or refreshers.You must be able to commit to this type of work.You must sign on to the Social Care Wales Register, if you have not already done so.If you feel that you would like to work in a well supported role and you have the skills and aptitude to care for our clients, please apply and we look forward to speaking with you very soon.Job Type: Full-time
