Your Role and Responsibilities
IBM AI Applications Education Services is looking for content development specialists who can create engaging product and role based technical training content for products in our Maximo Solutions portfolio. Content creation includes development from scratch, but also in many cases leveraging and curating available content from other sources. Instructional design experience, creating content that is engaging and relevant to learners using a variety of methods, is preferred. Many of our courses include hands-on labs, which require technical product expertise to create.
Activities include:
Help identify content requirements for our Maximo products in AI Apps, and associated ecosystem roles within customer and partner communities
Design and create technical training content that spans a variety of methods including traditional e-Learning and instructor-led courses, hands on labs, bite-sized content for webpages, webinar recordings, videos and social learning requirements
Create hands-on labs with data and product configuration supporting use case scenarios and exercises. Install products in preparation for hands-on labs, and maintain lab environments – both SaaS and on-prem
Engage other teams such as Development and Product Management to identify, leverage and curate their content to include in our training courses and learning journeys
Look for and establish innovative ways to partner with technical SMEs to create and update modern interactive content.
Update existing training content to keep pace with new product releases
Troubleshoot and fix any issues reported for training content and hands-on labs
Help deploy training content on digital portals – internal and external – and other tools used for eLearning and instructor led training delivery
Train instructors and Global Training Partners on content that they leverage for training delivery
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Looking for 6-12 Years of Experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with aptitude for creating content for both technical audiences and business user audiences
Understanding of how software products are deployed, operated and used by customers and partners
Sufficient technical expertise to install and/or configure Maximo products; and to create, maintain and support hands-on labs
Experience with technical writing and video creation
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
Experience with tools such as Captivate, Camtasia or other content development tools
Instructional design skills
Experience implementing / installing products
