POSITION:
We are seeking a dedicated professional Corporate Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the finance team in a high growth organisation.
Reporting to the Divisional Finance Manager primary responsibilities will be supporting the team responsible for payroll & pensions; group regulatory compliance; group reporting; audit; statutory accounts; treasury and cashflow across Jonas UK.
This role is a blend of working from home and office working, with the office being located in Wallingford, however, Jonas UK operates across multiple geographical locations and therefore the role may require some travel.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a part qualified or recently qualified accountant to develop experience in the wider finance function, being exposed to a breadth of critical functions, to act as a team lead in supporting the processors, whilst having the opportunity to grow within a fast paced environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the payroll team in all aspects of payroll including monthly payroll processing, external and internal reporting, HMRC filings, pensions, and payroll queries
Assist in the preparation of internal monthly financial statements related to monthly, quarterly and annual reporting within deadlines and with high attention to accuracy, including
Review of bank, AP and AR account reconciliations, and support in the correction of any errors
Preparation of analytical review, and variance analysis
Management and reconciliation intercompany recharges
Manage and improve the inter-company transactions process with a focus on month-end reconciliation; address and resolve variances
Assist with the statutory external audit process for legal entities within areas of our responsibility
Manage the day to day relationship with our bank and drive the resolution of banking issues for all the business units within the UK
Overseas the banking and insurance integration for all new acquisitions
Ensure all relevant companies house filings are complete and submitted in a timely manner
Undertake special projects and ad hoc analysis as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS& EXPERIENCE
Part qualified or recently qualified accountant
Familiarity with accounting systems, ideally Great Plains
Mentoring and delegation skills
Strong commercial acumen and financial analysis skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Strong excel skills are necessary as well as experience of Microsoft Office programs
Experience in software or high tech industry is an asset.
