Job Description : An established and renowned industry leader is seeking a proven DevOps Engineer to join their growing team based in London. This is a contract role for initially 3 months and paying £750 per day.
The successful candidate will be supporting a significant short-term demand for DevOps resource across the cloud systems area, driven by cyber security requirements and the need to repair and optimise the deployment pipelines. Deliverables will include Updating and fully documenting web application deployment pipeline, implementing logging and monitoring across cloud hosts, investigating performance issue with Canto Cumulus, supporting updating of Java Storm and Springboot pipelines as well as assisting with Log4J remediation DevOps activities.
In order to be suitable for this role you must have experience with the following:
Linux / Ubuntu administration.
Ansible configuration management.
Microsoft Azure, inc. Portal.
Jenkins CI/CD.
Groovy scripting.
Python scripting.
PostgreSQL DBA and configuration.
Docker Swarm.
The ideal candidate will also have experience with the following:
AWS
Elasticsearch cluster admin.
Strong documentation skills.
DevOps supporting Agile application development of multi-tier web apps with automated configuration and CI/CD pipelines.
Projects to improve logging, monitoring and alerting.
Projects to optimise configuration code and improve end-user documentation.
Data streaming/messaging arch (Kafka/ ActiveMQ / Apache Storm)
Mule ESB (or similar ESB runtime)
Apache Lucene / Exposure to ELK or TIG stacks
