Role Purpose:
Work alongside peers as a technical resource to manage build packages and deployments, and ensure adherence to best practices on project assignments. As an integral member of the team, you will plan, design and implement deployments for Salesforce, Mulesoft and related solutions. You will help direct technical and non-technical team members to ensure smooth releases. Your role will be to help reduce the overall project technical risk by uncovering issues related to deployments early in the project life-cycle, share release management best practices and recommend solution alternatives. This is a hands-on role that requires significant technical experience with DevOps and cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
What you’ll do:
Plan, design and implement source control and continuous integration
Manage code merging on projects with multiple delivery streams
Write scripts and develop tools to support and automate deployments
Plan and carry out releases to environments
Create and manage sandboxes
Proactively identify, manage and mitigate risks
Provide strategic advice on how to design the system to maximise compatibility with automated deployments
Participate in code and configuration reviews
Own build and deployment
Estimate DevOps effort for new projects based on high level requirements
Contribute to organisation-wide DevOps processes and tools
Collaborate with peers to continuously improve standard processes and tools that are used across the organisation
Administer DevOps systems
Assist with maintenance of code and configuration standards
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
What it takes:
Candidates must have experience and be able demonstrate a comprehensive understanding in the following:
Source control management and branching strategy, using Git
Designing and implementation of Continuous Integration, Delivery and Deployment processes using tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, CircleCI, Travis CI, GitLab, or similar
Planning and managing releases in an enterprise environment
Strong technical knowledge with a computer science background and fluent in at least one programming language
Development with agile methodology
Strong verbal and written communication skills to be used to document and share knowledge with different levels of the organisation and clients

SFDX
Scratch Orgs
Designed and implemented build automation using Apache Ant and Maven
Development experience in JavaScript with Node.js
Used Bitbucket and Bitbucket Pipelines
Experience working with XML and JSON
Experience building and maintaining docker containers
Worked with static analysis tools e.g. Clayton, Sonarqube, Checkmarx etc.
Experience linking test automation into build processes
