Introduction:
We are looking for an experienced DevOps resource to join our qualified and diverse development team. The chosen candidate will work with our global development team and other stakeholders to standardize and develop CI/CD pipeline for our various projects under central compliance umbrella.
The candidate will be responsible for leading DevOps initiatives that will lead to creation of robust and reliable CI/CD pipeline.
The role will require interacting with global technology partners from project space, peers from other projects and colleagues from Developer Experience and GTIS. The candidate will own the strategy to standardize and automate code deployment across various environments.
The candidate will also train and mentor other junior engineers within the team.
The candidate will also drive best practises for end-to-end deployment automation via team city, Nolio, chef, open shift and related technologies.
What will you be doing?
Analyse, understand requirements from key stakeholders, and perform required development activities.
Prepare the deployment automation plan and track progress
Raise any potential blockers to the scrum master/agile team lead and come up with a mitigation plan
Capture automation requirements in JIRA and assist the scrum master in sprint prioritization and retrospectives.
Update the CI/CD pipeline for new components added and ensure automated deployment is done for every release
Communicate with key stakeholders about timelines, impact for any committed delivery.
Investigate and analyse user queries in EMA and APAC hours.
Coordinate SIT and UAT cycles
Work with Dev Lead to deliver key technology requirements using Java and other related technologies
What we’re looking for:
Bachelors/Master’s Degree
5+ years of overall IT experience with minimum 3 years in DevOps space
Hands on experience in Team city/Jenkins configuration
Hands on experience with a deployment tool(e.g. Nolio)
Exceptionally strong with scripting languages like Unix, Perl and Python
Proven experience of deploying diverse components across varied technology estate on Linux and Windows platforms
Understanding of Core Java and cloud platforms like openshift aPaaS, AWS, Azure
Exposure to monitoring tools like App Dynamics, ELK
Skills that will help you in the role:
Knowledge of the Compliance / Financial Crime domain will be a strong advantage.
Data analytical skills with ability to identify data gaps
Experience with Agile methodologies.
Ability to identify issues and risks with projects which may impact delivery timelines; and cognizance to escalate issues with vendors/management as required.
Extremely organized, excellent oral and written communication skills, particularly in documenting system architectures and workflows.
Highly self-motivated with a confident do the right thing attitude.
Excellent attention to detail, self-starter with demonstrable initiative.
Team player, co-operative, and able to work in a large team across multiple locations and time zones.
