Job Summary:
The Director of eCommerce is responsible for the success of Heinens eCommerce offering, including technical implementation, end-to-end user experience, operational oversight, success measurement, communication, and profitability. This passionate, motivated associate will collaborate with a wide variety of functional partners, including Operations, Marketing, Merchandising, CRM, Finance, and IT. This associate will continuously identify opportunities for improvement, innovation, and market differentiation, utilizing both internal and external data and tooling, to lead to growth for Heinens in terms of Market Share and Customer Satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Leadership over grocery delivery and grocery pickup solutions, as well as future solutions such as Mail Order and Subscription modeling.
Leadership over eComm implementations, including platform implementations, mobile app implementations, and website redesigns, through design, build, testing, and rollout.
Responsible for eCommerce channel revenue growth, through marketing, paid media, digital merchandising, promotions, and brand-building initiatives.
Leadership over successful operations optimization efforts to support our eCommerce solution, including in-store pick and pack, operational performance oversight, and KPI assessment and monitoring.
Supports model of successful issue resolution with a customer-first approach, through strong documentation, direction, communication, and guidance.
Responsible for the practices and processes related to online product data, product images and site integrity across digital channels.
Ownership and oversight to all platform-enabled ad revenue solutions and non-connected vendor marketing opportunities.
Lead and develop a strong team of 3 internal resources by supervising, coaching, and removing barriers as needed to ensure their success. Oversee multiple external vendors to execute identified Heinens initiatives.
Passion for bringing in-store experience to life online, while ensuring Heinens quality and brand standards are upheld.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and at least 6 years of progressive experience in eCommerce, with a focus in retail, consumer packaged goods, DTC, product management, or brand marketing.
Strong demonstration of custom ecommerce platforms, with experience managing integrated budgets.
Experience establishing and maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, including the executive level. Ability to influence Heinens Sr. Leadership team for new initiative buy-in as well as change recommendations.
Substantive experience managing multiple vendors, including onboarding and offboarding as needed.
Demonstrated experience directly leading people, including hiring, developing, motivating, and directing people as they work.
Balance of technical and marketing expertise with strong collaboration skills.
Proven experience leading large-scale implementation across a cross-functional organization.
Strong project management skills, including communication of timelines, risks, budgets, and accountabilities.
Experience identifying operational or technical issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and resolve problems.
Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
