Job Description : Working in partnership with the new Chief Operating Officer, you will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for all organisation’s financial operations and improve financial performance across the company, as well as assisting the COO in driving the company in the next transformational and business direction. The role will be based in Devizes, Wiltshire and some remote working can be accommodated.This is an extraordinary opportunity for an individual with extensive senior management experience to grow and further develop a luxury brand with global manufacturing turnover of £550 million a year and regarded as a luxury leader in their sector. With A-list customers such Oprah Winfrey and Dustin Hoffman, this company is looking to grow substantially over the next 12 months and dominate their market, within the UK and overseas.The successful candidate will partner with the senior executive team and the Board and work collaboratively in a high-impact capacity. This role will seriously challenge you but will allow you to design and drive exactly the accounting and finance processes you have always wanted to implement with the full support of the Board as they enter a new rewarding era.As a Finance Director with either a manufacturing background or similar, you will ideally provide leadership to support your new strategic planning processes and implement new transformational changes, supported by new financial initiatives.Role and responsibilities of the Finance Director: · Close collaboration with the COO to develop future business plans, financial modelling, budgeting and analysis.· Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures;· Develop and direct the implementation of strategic business and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems for the business with the COO;· Restructure the finance department for business growth, be able to identify new efficiencies and find the right balance between software tools and automation and mentor individual capability;· As Finance Director you will harmonise financial operations, develop effective financial strategies, guide efforts towards improved reporting, monitor all financial activities, and promote revenue growth;· It’s a job that runs close to blurring the responsibilities of a Finance Director and a CFO and working in partnership with the COO in leading the business, a future succession plan is also apparent;· Continuously review the accounting/finance routines to identify opportunities for improvements in process efficiencies and operating costs;· Responsible for the 1-3 year strategic roadmap for the financial accounting team including its footprint and insourced/outsourced services;· Lead the planning, communication and execution of all external audit deliverables;· Reviewing, restructuring, managing and developing the Finance Team to ensure they become high-impact finance business partners across the business.· Leading the development of forecasts and comprehensive budgets.Personal competencies of the Finance Director· Qualified or ‘qualified by experience’ accountant with demonstrable FD experience ideally within a manufacturing sector or within a business with over £200 million turnover.· Strong process development and problem-solving skills around financial reporting.· Strong commercial acumen and enjoys acting as a Senior Business Partner to the Senior Management Team· Effective management, supervision, support and training of all accounting personnel.· Produce and present monthly reports to the BoardApplications required ASAP as interviews will commence immediately. It is essential that you must be immediately available to commence within 7 days to be considered in the first instance.This role will also be advertised on a permanent basis.
