Real Community Services aims to provide flexible employment arrangements to support our staff and their families. About the Role
Real Community Services has casual shifts available for a female Support Worker working in a community setting who are able to communicate in Auslan. Support Workers who meet the relevant criteria, may be eligible for a permanent part time contract after 12 months of employment.
The shifts are in the Indooroopilly area and we are looking for Support Workers who can commit to some or all of the following hours:
Wednesday 9am to 2pm
Thursday 9am to 2pm
Friday 9am to 2pm
Sunday 10am to 3pm (occasional)
And the ability to be able to cover other shifts when required
About You
To be successful, applicants are required to have experience in some areas or all of the following or an experienced Support Worker where we can provide training:
Community Access
Meal Preparation
Medication Support
Ability to communicate using Auslan – this is essential and any applications where the candidate cannot communicate using Auslan will not be considered
You will also need or be willing to obtain the following:
Blue Card – priority will be given to those who already have this card
Yellow Card or NDIS Worker Clearance – priority will be given to those who already have this card
First Aid and CPR
Drivers Licence
Reliable, registered vehicle with comprehensive insurance
Smart phone with internet access (IOS 9 or later)
Certificate 3 or 4 in Disability/Individual Support highly regarded but not essential
