An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Assistant working within the Treasury and Revenue team. This role would suit a recent graduate or someone looking for a career change into Finance. We are looking for someone with a passion for numbers who is eager to learn. This team process the daily banking requirements accurately and keep track of daily cash flow, provide accurate cashflow forecasts, as well as provide accurate and meaningful analysis on variances. As a Finance assistant, you will support the Revenue Supervisor and the Financial planning manager in various reporting and support the delivery of deadlines. The role requires a significant amount of interaction with internal and external stakeholders, therefore good communication skills are an essential

Full training will be given but you will learn to:

Deal with the preparation of the cash forecast
Post bank statements and transaction classifications
Load payments, bank reconciliations
Deal with the preparation of half and full year audit files
Post weekly revenue and preparation of weekly Client Reports and payments
Prepare the Client Month End Accrual reports and VAT Check
Liaise with Management Accountants for any revenue-based queries from Ops / Clients
Set up of Revenue Reporting Sheets for all new Contracts
Monitor of all Trade and Safe accounts
Continuous monitoring and resolution of Cash & Card Aged balances
Run month end procedures including journals and reconciliations
Investigate cash in transit and banking differences

What you’ll bring

A BSc in a mathematical, scientific, or financial discipline.
Someone keen to study and learn.
Good IT systems knowledge and skills, using IT systems in a financial transaction environment and pick up systems quickly.
Ability to work and communicate financial information with non-financial operational staff
Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to win the respect and trust of colleagues and customers
Highly organised with an excellent ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
Be a self-starter with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
A performance driven individual with enthusiasm to succeed as part of a team and deliver outstanding results
