Job Description : If you’re a qualified financial accountant and you’re not especially unhappy where you’re working at the moment, what would encourage you to make a move?
Would it be a business that has grown in an extraordinary way in the past twelve months alone, whilst being already well established? In fact, currently building and investing for the future.
Perhaps one that was set in a stunning rural location meaning that the return to the office, post-Covid, ensures a relatively easy drive and a parking space right outside the office. With relaxing lunchtime walks.
Where the HR Manager of three years talks so excitedly about the culture of the business that you know she means it when she says it’s a ‘wonderful’, happy, friendly, supportive place to be. Somewhere that is not highly corporate, and where everyone understands that whilst they have an area of personal responsibility, they help each other. Mucking in when it’s necessary to get tasks completed.
One where you’ll work for a CEO who, despite many years in the business, is so innovative that he’s considered a pioneer in his industry.
And a sector that can only keep growing. Because the area it works in is absolutely essential and its potential customers just keep on growing.
Well, this financial accountant position is working within a business that ticks EVERY SINGLE box above and needs someone like you to complement its team and help to take the business through the next stage of growth.
Intrigued?
In short, you’ll prepare 16 monthly management accounts packs. Including journals, prepayments, accruals, CAPEX/depreciation, balance sheet recs and royalties. All using Sage, so having this will give you a very distinct advantage.
As well as cash flow forecasting, fixed assets and assisting on budgets. And when the Finance Manager is absent you’ll deputise, which will mean supporting a team of 3.5 people.
In an ideal world, you’ll be ACCA or CIMA qualified, but if you’re technically sound and got great SME practical experience, or from practice looking for a step into industry, we’d like to hear from you.
It’s a 40 hour week but they’re pretty flexible about how those hours are made up, provided core hours are covered daily. So if that’s 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, fine. If it’s 9 to 5. Also all right.
This is a business where you’ll have the chance to shine and be part of something special. In normal times, soon to be resumed, there are social events, the office is fab and you’ll work for and with some lovely people who are valued.
Whilst it’s a profitable, high turnover and flourishing business, its staff numbers only a year ago were small. So the company benefits scheme are still small scale with 28 days holiday (including bank holiday) and a contributory pension scheme. But that’s for now.
Don’t let that put you off. They are very much about their people and you’ll have job security.
Apply now to be considered. Everyone receives a response.
