Job Description : POSITION: Financial ControllerThis is a great opportunity to join a family business, established nearly 200 years ago. The business sells a range of leading brand horticultural and agricultural machinery to an established range of commercial and domestic customers. It is also involved in farming as well as manufacturing a range of its own agricultural machinery. The newly formed management team have strong ambitions for growth and are now looking for an experienced accountant to help drive and support the business whilst reporting directly into and working closely with the managing director.SCOPE OF ROLE: Taking a lead on budgeting and forecasting.Ownership of KPI dashboards.Production of monthly Financial Statements including P&L accounts, balance sheets, and analysis of financial and operating data.Interpretation of financial and commercial data in the context of the business environment and preparation of monthly financial commentaries and analysis to the senior management team.Ensuring the integrity of all financial data, including on-going reconciliation of all balance sheet and key profit and loss account items.Production of statutory accounts and supporting documents and schedules and assistance to external auditors.Management and review of operational costs, assets, and liabilities through the monthly reporting cycle.Ensuring compliance with all statutory financial regulations (HMRC, Pensions, FCA) and reporting, including government statistics and preparation and review of VAT returns.Management and support of a small accounts team, ensuring robust financial controls, working capital management and integrity of financial data.Management of relationships with the Companies’ external advisors / bankers / insurers.POSITION REQUIREMENTSExcellent interpersonal skills and able to successfully communicate with people at all levels, financial and non-financial.Qualified: ACA, CIMA, ACCA.Strong accounts preparation, data analysis and Excel skills and presentation are essential.Thorough understanding of integrated management information systems.Comfortable evaluating and driving business performance.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: £50,000.00-£60,000.00 per yearBenefits:Company eventsCompany pensionOn-site parkingSick payStore discountsSchedule:Monday to FridayExperience:Controllers: 1 year (required)Accounting: 5 years (required)Licence/Certification:Accountancy qualification (required)Work remotely:No
