Job Description : Poltair Homes is a highly successful house builder based in Barnstaple with sites across the South West. We are looking for an experienced, practical person to join our small friendly team and oversee all aspects of financial management.This role is central to the success of our business and offers the chance to contribute to management of cashflow, cost control and reporting as well as overseeing a growing team. It involves working closely with the directors and senior management team with the support of the part time FD.The person in this role will be responsible for:Overseeing all aspects of financial reporting including preparing monthly management accountsProcessing sub-contract payments and providing expenditure reports to enable funding applicationsManaging a number of bank accounts and overseeing payments as requiredWorking closely with the management team to ensure processes are effective and being followedWorking closely with our accounts assistant and supporting purchase ledger processing as requiredProcessing payroll and maintaining CIS compliance where necessaryMaintaining records and databases with personnel and financial informationThe right person for this role will:Have experience in a similar role, ideally in the construction industryHave a working knowledge of Sage50 and have worked with a structured purchase order processBe a friendly and collaborative team member with a decent sense of humourBe ready to undertake training (if necessary) and visit our construction sitesBenefits include:Flexible schedule, either hybrid working or office basedOn site coffee bar and other facilitiesFree parkingCompany pensionStudy support if requiredThis is a full time role but hours could vary throughout the week (in a pattern to suit the successful candidate).
