Job Description

We are looking for a new Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst to join our fast-growing business. This role reports to our Group Financial Planning & Analysis Manager and plays a pivotal role in understanding our financial and commercial performance and contributing towards planning our continued future growth.

Location:

Office/Hybrid working to suit individual and business needs and preferences. The role will predominately be based in our Leicester office; however we have working hubs across the Midlands and the South, including City of London.

The Duties of the Role:

Monthly reporting:

Play a key role in helping the Group FP&A Manager drive superior financial performance through dynamic and insightful analysis
Assist with the preparation of monthly Board and Committee reports, with analysis to budget & prior year
Identify and continually develop key performance indicators and other performance metrics
Support the Group FP&A Manager & Senior Financial Accountant with business partnering, building close and effective working relationships with all areas of the business

Budgeting and Planning:

Maintain and develop budget and forecasting models to be used throughout the business and to help maximise the opportunity for growth
Help further develop 5-year plan process

Other:

Prepare and post Premium Finance, Bonus & Income accruals
Exceptional cost reporting & analysis
Maintain group operating cashflow models
Day to day admin support
The Ideal Candidate:

This is an exciting role at the heart of a fast-paced, dynamic entrepreneurial business. The ideal candidate would have the following skills and experience:

Part Qualified Accountant
Experience of insurance broking accounting, operations and regulations – Preferred
Ability and desire to create attractive, informative and insightful reports and presentations
Prior exposure to the opportunities and challenges faced in a fast growth business
Self-motivated, efficient and well organised
Flexible, with a proven ability to meet tight deadlines
Problem solving and highly analytical mindset
Keen eye for detail
Able to work under own initiative
Strong controls mindset
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
Interest in and understanding of all areas of the P&L and balance sheet including tax
Advanced Excel skills, comfortable working with large quantities of data
Comfortable extracting and using data from underlying operational systems
MS Business Central experience – Preferred
Jet Reporting experience – Preferred
